License Distribution Service, an advanced license fulfillment and activation system, facilitates the process of deploying your licenses and managing your product orders. The following illustration shows how License Distribution Service is utilized at both vendor and user sites.
The license generator at the vendor site can be LM-X License Manager, 3rd party such as FLEXlm and FLEXnet, or other proprietary license management systems. The vendor can create, view and modify license templates, detailed order and license information, and activation states.
It's up to you how your customers interface with License Distribution Service. You can let your customers activate licenses directly from installers or from activation clients; for example, customers might use your installation program or other means within your application, the LM-X Configuration Tool, or a web portal.
License Distribution Service is included FREE with LM-X License Manager for managing up to 100 license orders, and we offer reasonable pricing for businesses with over 100 license orders. License Distribution Service may also be purchased separately from LM-X License Manager and can be configured for use with any license management system.
