Security Update & Support Policy

1. Purpose

X-Formation provides software products intended for deployment and operation within customer-managed environments.

This Security Update & Support Policy describes the principles governing security maintenance, availability of security-related updates and product support lifecycle information for software products delivered by X-Formation.

Because each product has different architecture, release cadence, supported environments and maintenance requirements, detailed support commitments are maintained in product-specific Support Policies.

This document serves as the common entry point to those product-specific policies.

2. Scope

This policy applies to software products delivered by X-Formation and covered by separate product support documentation.

Product-specific policies define:

  • Supported product versions
  • Support periods
  • Security maintenance periods
  • Update delivery mechanisms
  • End-of-support rules
  • Customer responsibilities
  • Security-related release practices

3. Security Maintenance Principles

X-Formation maintains supported products with consideration for cybersecurity throughout their supported lifecycle.

Security maintenance activities may include:

  • Remediation of identified vulnerabilities
  • Dependency and component updates
  • Security hardening improvements
  • Corrections of security-related defects
  • Release of security advisories where applicable

Updates may be delivered as:

  • Maintenance releases
  • Patch releases
  • Minor or major product updates

Availability and timing of updates depend on product lifecycle status and technical feasibility.

4. Customer Responsibilities

Customers remain responsible for secure deployment and operation of products within their environments.

Customer responsibilities include:

  • Installation and application of updates
  • Maintaining supported product versions
  • Infrastructure and operating system security
  • Identity and access management
  • Backup and recovery procedures
  • Secure configuration of integrations and interfaces

Failure to maintain supported versions may affect eligibility for security maintenance.
