The Client
Enventive Engineering, Inc., provides state-of-the-art software that enables mechanical engineers to rapidly model, simulate, and manage the impacts of mechanical variations on product cost and quality. Enventive’s variational analysis software is best in class for travel and effort studies, and is exceptional for optimizing tolerancing for both assembly fit and product functionality.
Enventive’s customers include Fortune 500 companies in aeronautics, appliances, automotive, industrial equipment, energy, medical technology, and other industries that focus on performance, precision and reliability in their products.
The Problem
As a small startup, Enventive initially used a low-end license management product that was economical; however, it lacked the features their customers needed most: floating licenses and the ability to customize renewal dates. Floating licenses were essential for supporting the team-based way their customers used the software, and annual licenses with a customizable renewal date would allow customers to purchase additional licenses as needed while consolidating all renewals into a single, preferred date.
The leading license management software had the features they needed, but not only was it one of the most expensive solutions, it was known for its lack of attention to small businesses. Enventive needed a robust, flexible solution that would grow with them and be responsive to their needs.
The LM-X Solution
