License Statistics version 7.3 introduces a new Custom Applications report, updates to the Application Events report, support for importing Siemens NX log file archives, improvements to working with cache, as well as many other enhancements and fixes.

New Custom Applications report
License Statistics’ Custom Applications feature lets you configure applications to be monitored by License Statistics Agents. This release of License Statistics adds a dedicated Users Custom Applications report with statistics about custom application events.
The Custom Application History grid includes information about events for the selected user or user group and custom application, including the date of usage; the user and host quantity, application events, and harvesting information. Expanded details are available for the users/hosts.
The Harvesting Results heat map chart gives you a visual picture of the harvesting events for a selected user/user group and custom application for a specified time period. The legend at the top of the chart lets you choose to view the harvesting result details that interest you, including particular event types and maximum/minimum event values.
Application Event report improvements
Related to adding the Users Custom Applications report, this release also includes changes and improvements to the Application Events grid.
The Application Events grid now lists all application events that occurred during the past 30 days on the end-user host for a selected application. Statistics gathered for previous time periods are now available using the new Users Custom Applications report. As a result, disabling/removing events from the Application Events grid is no longer needed, so these abilities have been removed with this release.
In addition, the Host and User columns in the Application Events grid have been extended to include sub-columns with all host and user details (for example, collected from a user directory, such as Active Directory). As with other columns that include sub-columns, you can expand the column filtering controls to toggle the sub-columns for User and Host on/off. You can also now choose to anonymize user and host information shown in the Application Event grid.
Additional license manager support
License Statistics v7.3 adds support for importing Siemens NX log file archives. Previously, Siemens NX license server data could be gathered only by adding the server as a FLEXlm/FlexNet license server type (which is still the method used for remote monitoring of a Siemens NX license server).
Additional platform support
License Statistics v7.3 adds support for Ubuntu 26.04.
Improvements to cache invalidation and review
Cache preparation is a fully automated, background process that allows historical reports to be generated more quickly, rather than calculating the reports on demand. You can review cache status and, if needed, invalidate the cache (usually performed only when requested by X-Formation Support to help resolve inconsistencies in cached data).
This release introduces improvements to cache management, including:
- A new License Exceeded status for License Server cache helps to pinpoint this issue in failing to generate the cache
- In addition to invalidating the entire report cache, this release introduces the ability to invalidate the cache for individual license servers
